I live in a standard victorian terrace in a street with permit street
parking in London. I would have just enough room to park a little electric car such as a Gwiz in front of my house so that I could charge it at night. How and to whom do I need to apply to seek permission to lower the curb and create a space? What are my chances of succeeding? thanks Paul |

In my borough (Hounslow), applications for dropped kerbs are handled by the planning department. Generally they do not allow them if it would mean the loss of a residents' parking bay. I suggest you phone your local borough's planning department and seek their advice. -- Richard J. (to e-mail me, swap uk and yon in address) |
