I would suspect that it's a bit strained. Queen's Park and London Road stabling points can only hold approximately 15-20 trains combined; if you stable trains at Queen's Park SB road, Elephant & Castle NB road and maybe a few others along the network, you might get 20-25. ISTR that Bakerloo services south of Queen's Park tend to require approx. 30 trains in the peaks. Clive Feather would know for sure. The Bakerloo is currently operating a reduced service of 18tph in the peaks south of Queens Park. Allowing 70mins for a round trip including reversals at both ends this would mean there were 21 trains in service. Peter Smyth |

The numbers should be in Underground News, and I know at least one person reading this group keeps all his copies. -- Clive D.W. Kevin The Bakerloo has a maximum of 20 trains in service instead of 31 for the whole line, with trains running a reduced 5 minute service (4mins Peaks). Stepping back of train ops is taking place at both ends of the line during peaks with trains reversing via the north sheds at QPK with an operator at each end to reduce turn around times 2 trains are outstabled at Ruislip Depot for any major failure changeovers. Only 1 path eachway per day is given but these havent been used as to my knowledge yet. Both trains are due to return Mon 1st Nov at the following times 781 782 Ruislip Depot 0519 0536 Ruislip Stn 0539 0555 Rayners Lane 0545 0601 Harrow On The Hill 0550 0607 Neasden (pfm 3) 0558 0616 Finchley Road 0607 0625 Baker Street 0614 0632 An Extra train is kept also at QPK and it can be seen during the day from the North Pfm 1 on 24 road in the North Sheds A maximum of 10 could be stabled at QPK (including using both pfms). During the works 8 are Plus the spare. Capacity at Elephant & Castle is 4 (2pfm 2sidings). 3 are at the mo. And 9 are being stabled at London Road. Plus another spare. Colin |
