Hi all,
This bus route is one-way, and is wide enough for two lanes. However, a series of bollards and the like prevent one lane from being used, effectively turning it into a single lane road. There never seems to be any parking on the closed lane, and I suspect it is banned. There is very little pedestrian traffic along the road, except at the 2 zebra crossings. Buses often get stuck in the traffic queue here, and could benefit from a bus lane where the unusable lane is now. I can't see why the road isn't two-way, or one-way with a bus lane. Does anyone know why it is the way it is? I can't think of any similar road anywhere. -- John Rowland - Spamtrapped Transport Plans for the London Area, updated 2001 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acro...69/tpftla.html A man's vehicle is a symbol of his manhood.
