Is it just me? I cant buy a ticket online (trainline, qjump, fgw) for a
Zone12 - (random station) online -- Everything above is the personal opinion of the author, and nothing to do with where he works and all that lovely disclaimery stuff. Posted in his lunch hour too. |

You can't buy a ticket online *to* an Underground destination either. You can at NR ticket offices. PITA. Can SPORTIS issue tickets to an individual Underground station[1]? On the train here whenever someone asks for a tube station, the reply from the conductor is usually "is that in the 6 zones" and after the reply "OK then - travelcard" [1] Yeah, you'd probably have to get it swapped at Marks Tey/Liverpool Street for a gate friendly ticket, but you have to do that with an R1256 anyway. -- Darren http://photos.darrenjohnson.co.uk/ http://www.darrenjohnson.co.uk/ |

My use of tickets to Underground zones is for longer than day trips. If you go over one day all the NR/TfL ticketing integration goes to pot. I don't know about Sportis which is now obsolete here but the portable machines currently used by WAGN can do tickets to Underground zones I think, as well as the Shere machines in Cambridge station. -- Colin Rosenstiel |

Probably down to staff training issues/easier to remember the code for All Zones TC, than look up the individual zone fares, rather then limitations of Sportis. We're getting Advantix on this side soon so Sportis is finally being retired, which will be a fun few weeks on the peak trains! -- Darren |

Ticket office isn't open at that time, but you get a (floppy) ticket on the train. They'd better sell me the £8 YP single Twy-Zone32. I could have picked it up at work (we have a fast ticket machine) before I left tonight, but I cant buy that ticket. A pain anyway as I hate floppy tickets. |

I certainly managed to call up fares/journeys for Milton Keynes Central - ZONE U1 LONDN last week, though there was no point in booking it in advance as such. Try using U1 as a destination in Trainline (though I don't know if QJump does it). Neil |
