So basically the price for a weekend's travel has risen for everybody. If there's no discount for a three day travelcard then why even bother with one? Somebody please give TfL a clue. I thought the price of all travel had risen for everyone? If there's no discount for a three day travelcard then why even bother with one? So people don't have to queue up three times on three seperate busy morning to buy one? And to save paper? |

PRAR I was rather hoping they would give us a clue on this one: not only no discount on All Zones but only Z12 or All Zones (so absolutely useless if you are heading into central london from Zones 3, 4 or 5). |

Could it be because it's still cheaper than a 7-day travelcard, where there is the possibility for the purchaser to hand the ticket to someone else so that they can use the unexpired portion? Nothing stopping you buy 3 ODTCs in one transaction. And to save paper? I suppose so, but it doesn't seem likely given that all the existing Weekend Travelcard stock will go in the bin. This would be contrary to the T&C. But unenforceable, given that photocards are not required. I really don't understand why these tickets aren't marketed as transferable. Many European cities market such tickets as such (sometimes at a premium price). Neil |

Many European cities market such tickets as such (sometimes at a premium price). But often not at a premium. The only difference where I am between a 'personal' card and a transferable one is that the personal one can be replaced if you lose it and gives a right to a refund of the penalty fare if you forget to travel with it. tim |
