Isn't this just another exemplification of what lay behind my original

in this thread: the utter contempt in which passengers are held? Wouldn't it
be
so much nicer for the Underground and the twits that seem to run it, to have
rid of passengers altogether?

They have - we're called "Customers" now, which doesn't imply that we're
actually going to travel anywhere!

Indeed, I forgot, "customer" had to replace "passenger" since a prosecution
under the Trades Description Act might have otherwise followed, as you have so
succinctly pointed out!
