Hi,
Just before Christmas my Oyster card died. I went through the process of filling in the form to get a replacement but it was a couple of days before I could goto Finchley Central (my home station) and get the card renewed. By this time the card came back to life and they refused to change the card on the basis that it was now working. This morning I found the card has stopped working again so hopefully it will remain dead until I can get the card replaced. Is this a common occurance? At Moorgate this morning the the ticket inspector sugested that mobile phones can interfere with the card, it so happens that my phone was in my pocket next to my card for the 30min Journey from FC this morning. When my card died before Christmas I was passing through Kings Cross and was pretty much accused of trying to defraud LU out of their ticket money despite my having the receipt for the annual ticket I renewed just a few days before. The lady at the ticket barrier threatened to confiscate my Oyster card. Regards Andy |

I had the problem that I could not remember my password and had to
Oyster to find out what it was. When I called them their computer system was down so I had to call back latter. By the time I did this and was able to get to replace the card started working again and they refused to change it. |
