Oyster cards are electronic contact-less tickets, which can hold periodic travelcard tickets (7 days or more) or Pre-Pay credit value for singles journey on a pay-as-you-go basis. Obtaining an Oyster card may require paying a deposit. For four days it may not be worth the trouble, and paper tickets may be easier. I'm planning to visit London in the spring, so I'd like to know what is the best way of travel in the centre for about 4 days. For most tourists, a Zone 1-2 ticket covers their activities: 1 Day Travelcard, which can only be used after 9:30am is GBP4.70; 1 Day Travelcard, which can be used before 9:30am is GBP6.00; and 3 Day Travelcard, which can be used before 9:30am is GBP15.00. -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on Usenet and in e-mail? |

I have an Oyster pre-pay card and when going to top up on a machine at one of the southern mainline L.T. stations one of the options I was offered was a three day travel card. -- Clive. |

They weren't being sold on the Oystercard website last time I looked - only 7 days and greater. -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
