What was the occasion? I was cycling along Whitehall towards Trafalgar
Square shortly after 19:15 when the entire carriageway in the other direction was taken up with cyclists coming from the Strand. -- Colin Rosenstiel |

Possibly Critical Mass. Monthly mass rides starting from the South Bank, in the evening, on the last Friday of the month. If a cyclist has been killed recently, the ride might visit the site as a memorial. -- Helen D. Vecht: Edgware. |
