I expect it's still stalled while people figure out how to get any thing
recognisable from the soot-black tunnel walls.

On the Athens Metro last year I saw something out of the window between
stations that looked a lot like it might have been such a thing.
However, the train was always too crowded, and I was too busy, for me to
investigate properly.
