Dont have to search a rule book...its basic knowledge in training, They are banned underground for safety and comfort reasons. Imagine having a a bike stuck next to you at 08:30 along with the other 500 people. Won't argue with that. Bikes are banned on all sections which require escalators to reach, and all the near-surface lines during the rush hour. As the poster says, what if a Tube train had to be evacuated inside a deep tunnel? One thing I would like to raise in this forum is why bikes are banned on the DLR at all times? What's wrong with bikes at evenings and weekends on the DLR? |
