You're only likely to see a retail outlet after you could conceivably have got off for it. Are there any travelators in the shopping areas of airports? Heathrow terminal 4 has a travelator in departures that bypasses half a dozen shops. David |

Incidentally, I was in Paris last weekend, and was disappointed to see that the high speed travolator (9km/h) at Invalides is out of service and fenced off. Not sure if it's waiting to be repaired or if it just turned out to be too dangerous! I didn't realise there was one at Invalides. Are there any other high-speed ones in Paris apart from the original one at Montparnasse? -- Richard J. (to e-mail me, swap uk and yon in address) |

Are there any other high-speed ones in Paris apart from the original one at Montparnasse? Ah, maybe it was at Montparnasse and Invalides had a conventional travolator. It was early on Sunday morning and I wasn't properly awake (though awake enough to be disappointed not to get a ride on the extreme travolator...) |
