up close to the railway north of Aylesbury, so the potential for
a station here (which would also act as a parkway station) is
very good.

What sort of track modifications does Chiltern envisage to support the
new station?

Would there need to be any ?
I understand its a single track line north of the station, and that
would probably be fine for anything up to an every 20 minute service,
with gaps in the service to take account for the "binliner" trains and
other freight that needs to run through.
Plans may have since changed, but when the the first plans for the
Aylesbury North station were made, I believe the plan was to have the
Princes Risboro' - Aylesbury service extended to the station, rather
than extending the Amersham line services.
