Default Aylesbury North (was Great Central 1948 - 1996)

The line was originally double track. It might be simpler to add a
second dead-end (and operationally separate) single line to serve
any station(s) north of, and close to, Aylesbury.

There is already a goods loop that runs from north of Aylesbury station to a
ground frame just beyond Griffin Way overbridge. Beyond there the former up
trackbed has been converted to a cess path. Extension of the loop towards
Aylesbury North would be quite feasible, at least to beyond the town
boundary (beyond there some of the bridges may need some serious attention).
Whether there is a need to double as far as Aylesbury North itself is a moot
point.
