Are there ever any ticket inspections on the London Underground? Yes, there are barriers at all stations but I would have thought that LUL would also have roving patrols of inspectors randomly checking tickets on board tube trains to catch any fare dodgers? Yes - sometimes in uniform, sometimes plain clothes. Not always at the gates either - often on interchange routes or on train. There are occasional big checks with the police and drug dogs too. We had a spate of those at Walthamstow earlier this year. -- Paul C Admits to working for London Underground! |
