If I were to get a job in Chelmsford - where is a good place to live for a reasonable commute for both of us ? (the middle is about central London - bit pricey). Thanks. Stratford. Easier for the Chelmsford, but Jubilee and Waterloo for the Bracknell. Have you seen how long the train takes from Waterloo to Bracknell - it's about an hour, plus quite a long time on the tube. Considering the M25 southern section runs reasonably well west-east (clockwise) in the morning to Dartford (much better than the other direction), then staying in Woking would probably be best. OK, your commute is about an hour and a half. Maybe you could move round a bit to Reigate to even it out. Better still - one of you change jobs. As things stand, one or even both of you will be driven mad by the commute. |
