I know the Inquiry has finished. http://www.networkrail.co.uk/Documen...ion%20Pack.pdf IIRC the opening date of the second stage of the Public Inquiry slipped from the May 2005 quoted in the Network Rail document above by three months. This second inquiry was more limited in scope focussing on the issues considered unresolved by the first inquiry relating to BlackfriarsStation and Bridge, Borough Market Viaduct and London Bridge Station. Redevelopment of the latter is becoming urgent as according to Network Rail overcrowding may force peak time closure of parts of the station on health and safety grounds. Again IIRC the original period for the Inspector to complete his report was three to six months with a similar period for the DfT and ODPM to consider their response. This being the case expect the inspector to report mid year 06 and the Government response by the end of 2006.The London Bridge master plan rebuilding has the longest project duration and will take five years to complete. |
