oups.com... Hi, Does anyone knows how to travel from Richmod Tube Station to Easher National Rail Station by local transport like bus or tram (if any) or may be anyother way? Reagrds, Prateek. No trams, I'm afraid. The only trams in the London area are in the Croydon district. According to http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk, the quickest way is usually to use National Rail Richmond to Vauxhall, then back out to Esher. [You could change at Clapham Junction, but Vauxhall is probably less confusing.] There used to be a bus (65) from Richmond to Surbiton, but these days you have to change in Kingston, so Richmond to Esher is two buses and a train (and sometimes a walk between the two bus stations in Kingston). Other journeys offered include train Richmond to Hampton Wick, then bus to Surbiton, the train to Esher. -- David Biddulph |

All the OP has to do is get a fast train from Richmond to Clapham Junction non-stop, get off go to platform 11 and get his train to Esher. Ian |

[You could change at Clapham Junction, but Vauxhall is probably less confusing.] Totally agree that train is by the far best way, but it is considerably quicker to change at Clapham Junction - the non-stop service does it in only 8-9 minutes (and doesn't stop at Vauxhall). Clapham Junction can indeed be confusing, but there are plenty of staff to ask. Normally, trains from Richmond come into platform 3 (or 4). Those for Esher leave from 11. -- Paul Terry |
