Mornington Crescent tube station has warning signs at the top and bottom of the stairs. The sign at the bottom says there are 48 steps and the sign at the top says there are 86 steps. Does anybody know why that is? No. The tube access Excel sheet I downloaded from TfL does indeed confirm 86 steps down in total. It states 18, 16 stairs down, then 17, 15 spiral stairs, then 20 stairs. AIUI, the lift covers the top 66 stairs. -- Helen D. Vecht: Edgware. |
