Hot weather precautions
Delays on the district line today were being blamed on "hot weather
precautions" by the station announcements. What precautions are these? I've never heard of them as a cause of delay before. -- To contact me take a davidhowdon and add a @yahoo.co.uk to the end. |

Speed restrictions have had to be imposed because the rails have not been pre-stressed to allow them to expand safely as temperatures rise. -- Paul C Admits to working for London Underground! |
