Tower Hill tube station has been smelling of honey this past few days.
Either there was a bizarre accident or someone is pumping the smell into the station. And speaking of smells, why do I often smell minced beef in the morning on the Picadilly line at Kings Cross and grilled bacon at Old Street. Lately I've been smelling Chicken Katsu Curry on Friday lunchtimes from the staff at Moorgate station. |

Not sure about the others, but the grilled (fried, surely?) bacon at Old Street is from the greasy cafe in the underground shopping arcade just outside the station. -- John Band john at johnband dot org www.johnband.org |

I could faintly smell honey from all the blue/purplish flowers outside Tower Hill when going to work this morning. I guess when it gets warmer then the smell gets stronger. Old Street greasy cafe probably makes sense. |

When I took that route home after work, I used to get bacon smells at Victoria when changing from the eastbound District onto the Victoria, just as you leave the platform of the former at the eastbound end. |

Well Paris is a whole different ball game. The smells there are just so superb. |
