Bus drivers in London? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4799901.stm Dont speak so soon! Indeed. If they do strike actually strike on carnival weekend then they'll lose many people's sympathies. I guess that's all part of the game - they won't actually go ahead with it, but they just threaten to strike on a critical day (or days). I thought the TSSA - the union threatening the First London bus strike - were one of the more reasonable unions. That said, I don't know the specific grievances that First London employees have. |

I don't expect or want anyone's sympathies, but I have not had a pay increase (let alone a 4.5% pay increase THIS year alone!) for 8 years. Nor am I allowed, legally, (according to H.M Attorney General and Lord Chancellor who have threatened to bug telephones and take legal action) to go on strike. Marc. |
