Cheers you up a bit. The phrases "worth reading" and "by Jeremy Clarkson" do not belong in the same sentence. Have you actually read any of his work? Yes I have, thank you. -- Stephen Drusilla: Do you love my insides? The parts you can't see? Spike: Eyeballs to entrails, my sweet. |

I have no sense of humour because I fail to appreciate the burblings of a hack writer whose work cynically panders to the lowest common denominator? Clarkson's books and columns amply demonstrate that he wouldn't recognise genuine wit if it sat on his face. The fact that you're engaging in such a spirited defence of such a ****-poor excuse for a writer strongly suggests that neither, unfortunately, would you. -- Stephen I've Googled till I just can't Google no more. |

Then you would be wrong (and I don't "hate" him - he's not worth the effort), a state with which I imagine you are *quite* familiar. -- Stephen Philippa: Can we make this brew fairly speedy? SteveH ) gurgled happily, sounding much like they
were saying : Clarkson's books and columns amply demonstrate that he wouldn't recognise genuine wit if it sat on his face. I actually doubt you've done any extensive reading of Clarkson's writing given that you appear to hate him so much. Clarkson's column in CAR 15ish years ago was far more entertaining than any of his recent output - since he started to believe his own hype - and yet still came a poor second to the other regular columnists (Bulgin, Llewellyn, Bishop) and contributors (Cropley et al) |
