The traffic system is designed for rush hour traffic. Outside of this
it just adds to the problem. If a side road on the A4 with lights stopping the A4 let out 2 cars but holds up 50, this is adding to the problem. Say the 50 car wait for 1 minute, would the cars in the side road not have an opportunity to get out in this time if there was no lights easily there? Probably, there would not have had any problames as the 50 cars would have passed. Cartany not longer that 2 minuits each. 4 minutes or 50 minuites of extra traffic. Just add all the times across London out side of rush hour time and I would say you could louse 10% of hangover traffic that is delayed into rush hour. What about stupid transport systems, ever Wait at a left hand fitter light when you know you could go? Do the system designers uses logic and reason? Plea tell me about a stupid transport system near you and maybe, perhaps, possibly, but probably not we mite get thing changed. I am staring a new group Transport UK, if anyone whats to join, I would like to hear from anyone who could contribute to my newsletter, tip of the day information or jokes? The newsletter will also be available through my site which you can use to contact me or join the newsletter. http://www.transport-wizard.co.uk |
