When I enter my road into the TfL Journey Planner I get a prompt
asking me whether I want the beginning, middle or end of the road. It is actually a short cul de sac leading to my block of flats, and with no other premises, so it is hardly going to make an appreciable difference to my journey time let alone choice of tube and buses. In any case, as it is the only building on the place I am unlikely to be wanting time from anywhere else in the road unless I was sleeping in the drive or car park. Has anyone else noticed such oddities in the TfL information? How do they survey and list the places? |

I have noticed this, but I have stopped bothering sending them error reports or suggestions, because as with every other TfL department and consultation they never listen, they just waste your time with false hope (Mr Corfield excepted). Has anyone else noticed such oddities in the TfL information? I have noticed that they recently downgraded the usefulness of the walking route info... it used to always correctly tell you whether to turn left or right... then it started getting left and right mixed up sometimes... now it just says "straight up" at every junction. How do they survey and list the places? They don't, the info was bought in. |

I have heard that the website is going to be relaunched in January - not sure if this will include any alterations to Journey Planner. -- Dave Arquati www.alwaystouchout.com - Transport projects in London |
