As a Gog Trog (North Welshman) 'Mount Snowdon', as it's often

OK, I'll bite, what should it be called? I can't find a Welsh name
for it on the OS map in my guide to North Wales. Unless it is
Eryri, but I thought was the name for the area rather than the
mountain.

Yr Wyddfa on my map.

I've only got the one in the book which is quite old now.

I'd hazard a guess that both the mountain and the language are a tad older
(but I'm willing to be proved wrong). :-)

Yes but it is a book published in England about 25 years ago, they hadn't
noticed the Welsh language then.

Well, one has to feel sorry for *any* tourist in Brum

Well there are a *lot* of them these days.

Then I shall ask for feedback from my group doing a tour there with me
tomorrow. For the record, my walking tor job on Saturday is in Tipton!

Went to see a band in Tipton once on their World Tour - Smethwick,
Wednesfield, Walsall, Tipton and Kingstanding.

Believe it or not, at one time or another I've done walking tours of all
of those, except for Kingstanding, which had been a stop on coach tours
I've done twice: once to visit the Odeon Cinema (Art Deco enthusiasts'
Group) and once to look at the "King's Standing" earthwork where Charles
I addressed his troops!

They. There are two tributaries, both called the Cam (or Granta) and Cam

*shrug*

Although many years ago they did run a feature about Tipton having the
'best' municipal rubbish dump - purely to enable them to use the headline
"Tip Top Tipton Tops Tip Pops" :-)

According to the Ordnance Survey:
- the branch going through Audley End is the "River Cam or Granta";
- the branch going through Babraham is the "River Granta";
- the branch going through Barrington is the "River Cam or Rhee";
- the branch going beside the radio telescope is not named, but a sub-
branch is labelled "Tit Brook".
