The escalator was clear at the time but passengers on opposite
conveyors can be seen looking on, bemused.

I could have sworn that Angel has 2 Escalators and a staircase in the
centre - it's been a while since I've been there, admittedly.

Except if one of 'em's out of action, then it's a staircase.
