I came through this afternoon and it looked as though all that was needed now was the sort of cleaning you do after decorating. The TfL site project page has the opening date down as July 2007 but I'll be surprised if it opens before 11 November. That said, Silverlink signs and lots of purple paint rather than the London Overground equivalents can be found at platform level. I can just imagine the extravagant bill from the contractors for the variation order to change the style of the station from NR/Sliverlink colours to LU/Overground colours; as I wrote in the other thread on this subject (in uk.t.l), the SIlverlink signs will have been in store for years, given the delays since the station first appeared on the maps. Wouldn't be a surprise if main line ticket machines have been fitted... Changing to Overground following completion will probably (and perversely) be cheaper because the whole line will have to be rebranded at once... Paul |
