[Bushey - Euston(Overground)]

Tells me 4.50

Page 8 of the document says that Bushey is in zone 8

and page 21 of the document says that a zone 1-8 single is 5.50

There seems to bee some special 'Overground Only' fares. If one extends
the journey to anywhere else in Z1 it's 5.50.

Adding the better off-peak times it might be a good idea to break a
journey at Euston.

You have to "break" a journey at Euston because there are gates to
exit the overground before you can enter the underground.

So if you travelled at 9.31am, Watford Junction to Moorgate you'd be
offpeak for this journey for the overground bit but peak for the
underground bit.

Presumably you'll be charged two singles 3.00 + 1.50 for a total of
4.50

But if you travelled at 9.29 you'd be charged one WJ-Z1 single for
6.00

That's an out of station interchange - so it counts as one single
journey. To really break the journey into two separate bits it might be
necessary to use two oysters (and lose the cap), wait long enough (how
long?) or add a short bus journey (if it's covered by the cap). All not
very good.

So if you travelled at 9.31am, Watford Junction to Moorgate you'd be
offpeak for this journey for the overground bit but peak for the
underground bit.

I think they will always charge for WJ-Z1.

He He. This could be fun for people who have lots of time and not much
money.

Watford Junction to Z1 changing at Willesden Junction (say for example
because you want the Bakerloo line)

Wat - Wil 3.50/1.00
Wil - Z1 2.00/1.50

Wat - Z1 6.00/3.50

Wat - Euston 5.50/3.00

So this is a huge saving for someone travelling after 9.30 wanting to
go to Z1. 1.00+2.00 to Z1 as compared to 3.00+1.50
