Presumably the more people report spam, the less of it there will be.

To report spam use the "more options" link at the top right of each
message, then select "report this message" from the options, and fill
in the form.

I'm cross posting this to some of the other newsgroups who seem to
have been affected by one of the spammers the newsgroup I read is
affected by.

When that actually works to get rid of spammers, let us know!
In other words, google doesn't care, and most USENET users don't use google
groups anyway.


Google is not in a position to care unless the spam was posted by a
Google user - I have no idea whether they care then or not.
