has been published, containing a huge amount of detail. 160 pp pdf
http://tinyurl.com/2k29zc It mentions many current areas of discussion, eg: WLL will run Watford Junction to South Croydon. ELL Phase 2 is recommended for progress by 2012 to ease London Bridge works Much detail on ELL phase 1 frequencies, Thameslink service patterns and destinations, South Eastern SLC2 (post Javelin - most peak services into existing termini will now remain). Paul Thanks for the heads-up. I'm sure this document has a great many discussion points, I just need to plough through the 160 pages of dense detail and get my head round it first! |

Where does it say that? There is a reference to 2 tph South Croydon - Shepherds Bush in the peaks, but no mention of Watford or other issues related to the cross-London RUS. Also Streatham Hill - Crystal Palace inclusive will lose all trains to both main Croydon stations in the peaks - wonderful! Let's see if Ken gets the chance to challenge the priority given to longer distance services in the Metro area during the peaks. |

Ah - I just searched for 'West London Line' and up came paragraph 5.3.14 which refers to South Croydon as the terminating point for what I took to be Southern ex WJ services. As you correctly say though there is no actual mention of Watford Junction - the implications of the Shepherds bush turnback (at North Pole) for DC units - option 2.7 p141 - does imply no train to WJ - at least in the peaks. And this fits with the supposed lack of dual voltage 377s after Thameslink KO0. However - is this actually ok because it's where the highest peak flows are anyway - across CJ to 'West London'? Paul |
