Default Shenanigans at Hayes and Harlington - AGAIN

Yet AGAIN at H&H FGW and its bedfellow Railtrack (or whatever) showed
complete disregard to hapless pax waiting on platform 4 to go to
London. Yesterday there were about 150 intending pax there -
presumably 'cos previous services had been cancelled or delayed. So
when the next train arrived - the 13.26 it was late - but arrived on
platform 2. This was totally unannounced despite station staff being
on duty. The automated train announcement system was u/s - as usual.
Of course there was a mad rush over the footbridge from platform 4 to
2. But those with children, luggage of the physically impaired didn't
even attempt the rush. About the first 2/3 of the pax made it - THEN
THE DRIVER STARTED TO CLOSE THE DOORS. Some pax held the doors open
for the last few to get on board. But even then some never made it.
This is sudden and unnanounced switching of platforms is a CONTINUAL
PROBLEM at H&H and also Ealing Stations. Complaints to FGW etc. remain
ignored. CJB.

Crikey, they're still doing that? I haven't used that station
regularly for about 4 years.

The last time that happened to me the station staff were laughing at
the people rushing across the footbridge. They'd made an
incomprehensible announcement over the PA at the same time as the
automated change of platform announcement kicked in, so thought it was
funny that everyone had ignored them.

H&H has serious problems with staff being unable to communicate in
English, if they bother to communicate at all.

I expect they are accustomed to people displaying their stupidity (at so
many levels) with such comments.

No doubt a better service than you can give.
