An alternative view is that White City should be revert to its old name given that the stadium is long gone. The area is called White City, and the area inside Australia Rd is called the White City Estate. Wood Lane, on the other hand, is the name of roads in Highgate, Stanmore and Kingsbury: Also, the southern end of Wood La W12 will have Shepherds Bush as its nearest station, so Wood Lane is a bad name for the new station. However, I suspect the fire brigade don't want the new station to be called White City. I only said it was an alternative view! I only said why I didn't agree with that alternative view. Given the name of the nearby late lamented station it was an odd decision to go for "Wood Lane". Why would the Fire Brigade object to the White City name, though? They don't like two stations having the same name. |

Isn't it interesting how because I get hacked off with being ripped off on PAYG by LUL with its guilty until proved innocent approach to customers and 3rd world service and happen to complain about it on it , I must be some sort of misanthrope. Why not answer the question instead of making cheap potshots. B2003 |

No, it's because whatever TPTB do, you complain about them doing it, and whatever they don't do, you complain about them not doing it. I have noticed no consistency logical or financial in your multitude of stances, except that whatever happens, or whatever doesn't happen, you criticise. Why not answer the question instead of making cheap potshots. I did answer your question, but I answered it in a way which I found fun. After all, I don't come here to serve you, I come here to have fun. |

You might have a better chance of convincing me you're not talking out your arse if you could provide some examples. Why not answer the question instead of making cheap potshots. I did answer your question, but I answered it in a way which I found fun. I would suggest you update your dictionary since it obviously has a strange definition of answer. B2003 |
