Recently I've noticed the 243 bus whizzing along Southgate Road every
now and then... normally the 21, 141 and 76 are the only buses to be found (unles you count the 812, which I am told passes by - but never seen it). This morning I decided to hop on as one came along as I was waiting for the 76 to take me to work. Quite a few people were surprised when it turned right at the Old St roundabout, probably not having looked at the front of the bus and just expecting every bus to go down Moorgate. Has the 243 route been changed? There's no signs on the bus stop to say it should be passing. D. |

Buses diverted all around. 243s are sometimes run out of service back up the 76 route (annoying for us as we live on this route near Southgate rd). And don't get me started on the noise the 76s make.... E. |
