At least some have a sense of humour - there's a road by Sheffield

You have been bitten by a Urban Legend I think

Streetmap claims that there is no "Letsby Avenue" anywhere in Britain.

The papers did cover the story as a need to name an unnamed road for
emergency purposes only, and as the road had a police station Letsby
Ave came into being. However it appears that the name is genuine but
the cause was a spoof letter with a plod heading.

Now check your satnavs for Butt Hole Road...

Google maps disagrees.

However, the airport in question has now closed, so maybe it's been dug
up and turned into a business "park" already, and google is out of date.

David Cantrell gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying:

Not quite - it's been turned into an... airport...

That's not what that website says.

" The transformation of the former Sheffield City Airport into a
heliport and business park was announced today. "

Purely for purposes of prevention, of course.

What else is a "heliport" but an "airport"?

Does that mean there is an airport in Battersea?

An airport is presumably assumed to have runways.

Whereas the flat roof of a tall building can even function as a heliport.
