Does anyone know the reason for the presence of a very large crane in
Baylis Road at Waterloo this weekend near the Waterloo and City line shaft? It's only a couple of years since the rolling stock was refurbished, so what are they up to? Thanks, James |

And why were they announcing yesterday that the Waterloo and City Line was closed as part of the announcements for closures due to engineering works? It's closed every Sunday, surely? -- Ian Jelf, MITG Birmingham, UK Registered Blue Badge Tourist Guide for London and the Heart of England http://www.bluebadge.demon.co.uk |

Because it was closed Sat Sun and Mon (engineering, normal no service, engineering) and that sort of simple message is much easier for ''normals'' to understand. -- Nick |
