Very little that wasn't a bus, taxi (Hansom) or pedestrian - in particular, very few (if any) bikes. In the second half, it was striking how the pedestrians mingled with the vehicles, crossing or going along or diagonally as they wanted. Colin McKenzie -- No-one has ever proved that cycle helmets make cycling any safer at the population level, and anyway cycling is about as safe per mile as walking.
