said... Can anyone confirm whether or not all zone London bus passes are valid beyond Worcester Park through to Epsom on routes K9 & K10? Other routes such as 418 & 467 are, but no mention is made on the publication "Beyond The Fringes" of the K9 & K10. Thanks for everyone's feedback. Covered both routes today, K9 to Epsom, K10 back. Was slightly astonished at the fare beyond the Travelcard boundary - £2.10 (to which even the driver remarked "Terrible, isn't it?") and £1.70. In and around Epsom I was surprised to see two different styles bus stops, some the standard London ones, others with the single deck bus symbol often seen in the "provinces". Confusion at one stop where the K9 & 418 stopped, two locals boarded the K9 to be told it's £1.70 in to Epsom town centre. the driver advising only 70p if you wait for the 418! A general remark in so far that it seemed odd leaving effectively what is Greater London at Worcester Park and yet you remain in a built up area without going through any green belt. Any idea the historic reason behind this? -- Phil Richards London, N4 |
