Can anyone confirm whether or not all zone London bus passes are valid
beyond Worcester Park through to Epsom on routes K9 & K10? Other routes such as 418 & 467 are, but no mention is made on the publication "Beyond The Fringes" of the K9 & K10. Thanks, -- Phil Richards London, N4 |

Thanks, -- Phil Richards London, N4 If you look at the official TFL bus map for SW London: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/buses/pdfdocs/s_west.pdf (NB: 4.4MB!) it shows that those routes turn from a grey line to a green line as they cross the Greater London boundary (ooposite Worcester Park station on the K9 and in St. Clair Drive on the K10). This means that TFL tickets and passes are not valid on these routes south of the boundary. You are right however that the 406, 418, 467 & 166 do accept TFL tickets & passes across the boundary through to Epsom. Colin |

Colin K9 & K10 are still commercial routes run by Epsom Buses/Quality Line the others are TfL tendered/heavily subsidised services so they have end to end ticket availability whilst the K9/K10 don't Paul |

As mentionned already, 406, 418, and 467 do accept the passes throughout the route, as does the new 470 (Epsom - Colliers Wood), and revised 293 (Epsom - Morden) (both operated by Quality Line) since the introduction of new timetable on 19th June. Other routes such as 418 & 467 are, but no mention is made on the publication "Beyond The Fringes" of the K9 & K10. Thanks for everyone's feedback. Covered both routes today, K9 to Epsom, K10 back. Was slightly astonished at the fare beyond the Travelcard boundary - £2.10 (to which even the driver remarked "Terrible, isn't it?") and £1.70. In and around Epsom I was surprised to see two different styles bus stops, some the standard London ones, others with the single deck bus symbol often seen in the "provinces". Confusion at one stop where the K9 & 418 stopped, two locals boarded the K9 to be told it's £1.70 in to Epsom town centre. the driver advising only 70p if you wait for the 418! A general remark in so far that it seemed odd leaving effectively what is Greater London at Worcester Park and yet you remain in a built up area without going through any green belt. Any idea the historic reason behind this? -- Phil Richards London, N4 |

Phil Kitchen Actually, the 293 is operated by Epsom Buses - "Quality Line" is a trading name only. Matt Forbes (yes - that one) |
