The main difference between you and me is that I can be pathetic and childish as the mood takes, but I'll be OK in the morning, whereas you will always be pathetic and childish, because you cannot help it. The other major difference is that you have no sense of humour, but provide endless entertainment, for free. IMHO, of course. ;o) |

They diverted a main line under the airport so you get a wide range of train and destination options. Yes, several European airports have main lines passing through/under them (eg, Amsterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt, Paris, even Gatwick). I don't know if that was ever considered for LHR, but the use of diesel traction on the adjacent main line wouldn't have helped. |
