This Tunnel 228 installation under Waterloo station looks intriguing,
but unfortunately I'm not going to have the opportunity to be intrigued in person as all the free tickets have been snapped up already: http://londonist.com/2009/05/preview_tunnel_228.php http://www.tunnel-228.com Damn the internet and its resultant quick transmission of zeitgeisty information. I think they should have forsaken the web altogether and gone for a more authentic word-of-mouth approach, making people scour the underpasses of the surrounds of Waterloo for a man wearing a high- vis tangerine tutu cleverly disguised as an LB Lambeth streetcleaner who would silently hand you an admission ticket in return for you handing him an old British Rail ticket or a s44 Terrorism Act stop and search slip or a torn-out page of the A-Z with the location of the Brinks Mat gold marked on it. Kevin Spacey, I hope you're listening. |
