Just a reminder that our first meeting of the 2009/10 season takes
place next Thursday, 15th October between 19.00 – 21.45 in the
function room of the Exmouth Arms, 1 Starcross Street, LONDON NW1, 5
minutes walk from Euston station.
Dick Fearn, Chief Executive of Iarnrod Eireann opens the new season
with a talk called
“Delivering a Modern European Railway for 21st Century Ireland ”

Dick Fearn brings us up to date with the continuing transformation of
the Irish railway system, with particular emphasis on the milestone
projects being delivered in 2009 such as the Kildare Route Project and
the reopening of the Midleton line and the West Rail Corridor from
Ennis to Athenry. Dick will outline further investment plans to
provide enhanced capacity and more services, and will explain why the
railway has a strong future despite the current economic climate.
