"Ian F." gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying: Yay! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8325406.stm Umm, the article you link to doesn't say he was fired, it says he resigned voluntarily "for personal reasons". |

Next time go from a discussion about recipes for elderberry cordial to slagging off the RMT in one sentence. I know you can do it. |

I'm sure those bunch of layabouts will soon be striking because there isn't a butler waiting for them at the end of a shift with a drink of their choice on a silver platter. Hows that? And if that ****** hadn't be caught on video both he and his union would be whining about how hard done by he is , the poor thing had to put up with being assaulted/swore at etc and is only human , blah blah blah , and suspending him is grossly unfair, bull**** bull**** bull**** , and the union will be considering "further action" etc. B2003 |

Apart from anything else, the former member of staff wasn't even an RMT member and a cursory glance through the RMT website (I can't see anything else as I'm not a member either) suggests they plan to do nothing. But then why let the facts get in the way of a good rant? -- Steve Fitzgerald has now left the building. You will find him in London's Docklands, E16, UK (please use the reply to address for email) |

Most people on LU seem to be RMT or Aslef. Obviously being a jedi was enough for him. But then why let the facts get in the way of a good rant? Why not rant. The RMT are a bunch of dicks as they've proved endlessly in the past and if he had been a member and the incident hadn't been caught on tape and he had been suspended I think we all know what would have happened. Squash with bad leg anyone? B2003 |

B2003 No, I don't know what would have happened if someone had done something different from what he did, in a different situation, and was a member of an organisation that he wasn't a member of. But I am reminded of those "self-righteous brothers" sketches by Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse. |
