Will it really work that way? As far as I have understood the oyster
system, the fare is calculated between the touch-in and the touch-out
point, and touches in between will be ignored. So...

example travelling from say South Kenton into Zone 1 via Euston you
might wish to linger a little if you arrived at Euston at 18.50 before
heading to the Tube as you'd get the cheaper...

You have to "break" a journey at Euston because there are gates to
exit the overground before you can enter the underground.

That's an out of station interchange - so it counts as one single...

Page 8 of the document says that Bushey is in zone 8

and page 21 of the document says that a zone 1-8 single is 5.50

This only applies to a refund for an unused period on a ticket, not on
a change in zones. Changes in zones are done pro-rata for the

I'd also like to see some fare related options in the Journey Planner.
Especially a "Travelcard only" option to exclude the HEX etc. Also a

What seems to have happened here is that you were regarded as
re-starting the journey which you first started at Waterloo. The system
took back the £2.50 that it had refunded you on leaving...
