Enfield to Putney - which route?
But if you are on the A10 (Great Cambridge Road) then you'd be better
off joining the A1080 up to Wood Green then join the A105 to Manor
House and the A503 there.
That's Green Lanes...

To get from Enfield to Cricklewood either go round the North Circular
anti-clockwise to Henly's Corner, then go through Temple Fortune and
Golders Green, or take the M25 anti-clockwise to South...

Enfield to Putney - which route?
My immediate instinct is to go down the A10 until Seven Sisters, then
the A503 through Camden, towards and around Regents Park into Baker
Street, right into Marylebone Road, left into Old Marylebone...

What is the road that connects Upper Street with Liverpool Road?
But you are right there is a sign from the Holloway Road entrance - how long
has it been there?
From Upper Street you can...

Fake dead ends
I live in such a road. On most maps (A-Z, Street Finder, etc.) it
looks as though my road goes into the docks near Canary Wharf. In
reality there is only a pedestrian access to Mill Harbour...

Fake dead ends
Hi all,
I have recently found several roads which have dead-end
signs at both ends but are not dead ends at all. For instance
in North Pinner, Barrow Point...

'Rat runs', in my view, are those residential roads which were built
principally to provide residential access but can also be used by
through traffic. Not roads which have always been...

There's a road near me where the speed bumps (which are of the two
separate hump variety) are practically unnoticeable if you drive over
the middle of them between the two humps. As a result,...

This must be a 'suggested' speed limit otherwise they would have to erected
speed limit signs in every entrance to Liverpool Road for people to obey the
permit speed limit.

Hmmm. I've read somewhere that speed bumps create more pollution
because of the slow-down/speed-up/slow-down/speed-up driving pattern

thousands/millions on speed bumps?
If you wonder down the side streets they have installed about 3 different
kinds of bumps...

Is it Eurostar or Waterloo BR?
If the latter, you can go from Victoria to Vauxhall on the Victoria

from Vauxhall to Waterloo.

I don't know exactly where these signal controllers are used.
But they certainly should detect when a carriageway is completely
empty and therefore does not need to remain on green while there...

Camera like sensors on top of traffic lights
Sensors / detectors are a very good idea and should be put into all
signal-controlled junctions, not just to detect the presence of a
vehicle, but to detect any traffic-pileups and use this to...

A40 traffic lights rephased?
That junction is, I think, called Scotch Corner, and is a terrible
bottleneck for Westbound traffic, partly because the Eastbound
carriageway has a longer green to allow right-turning, and...
